Panel speakers:
- Siobhan Clarke – Siobhan’s 25 year background spans across London, Singapore, and San Francisco, in scale ups, venture capital (ex Partner Episode 1 Ventures) and large Enterprise (ex Cisco, ex VP bp) in science, education & leadership, digital technologies and energy. She’s been serving on public, not for profit and private boards in UK and US for over 10 years as NED and Chair. In Advisory Board terms, as an executive she has setup and run an advisory board at BP and as CEO of a charity. In her current portfolio, she serves on an Advisory Board for a venture capital fund and is an advisor and mentor to a range of start-ups and scale ups from pre-revenue to £30m.
- Amanda Vine – with over 25 years’ experience in Strategic Consultancy and Commercial roles, Amanda has held VP positions Agency side, working with Enterprises predominantly in the B2B and Public sectors including HSBC, HP, Pfizer, Ericsson, BP, No.10 and NHS. For the past 8 years, Amanda has been a Board Advisor and Strategy Advisor, focussing on Corporate & Commercial Strategy, Business Transformation and Leadership, for Impact driven start-ups and scaling businesses in B2B, Social Enterprise and Not for profit sectors ( pre-seed to Series B). In addition, Amanda is a Commercial Coach at Zinc, supporting talented Founders to build commercial, scalable businesses that tackle the most pressing and complex challenges facing the health of people and the planet.
- Andrea Wareham – sharing a practical example of joining a start-up in an informal capacity, formalising the role and some of the actions taken in the process is Andrea Wareham. Andrea is a Non-Exec, Advisory Board Member and Mentor to CEOs and Senior Leaders. Her purpose is to support businesses to have effective people initiatives in place so that they have the right people in the right places and employees are engaged and happy, contributing brilliantly to the achievement of the organisation’s strategy. In her Non-Exec capacity Andrea is on a number of Boards of small to mid-size high growth consumer businesses such as Pizza Pilgrims (www.pizzapilgrims.co.uk), Psycle (www.pscylelondon.com) and Drop-In (www.drop-in.com). In addition to her Board responsibilities she individually supports the CEOs and People Leaders in these businesses to navigate complex issues such as organisation and team design, ways of working and leadership succession planning. Until March 2023 Andrea Wareham was Chief People Officer for Pret A Manger where she worked for 23 years. During the last 10 years with Pret, Andrea was a Trustee of the Pret Foundation which manages the donation of food from Pret shops to the homeless, as well as offering direct support to homeless charities and an employment scheme for disadvantaged people.
